この数ヶ月CNNのコマーシャルに”World Cup Soccer Korea”というのがしょっちゅう放映されていて、てっきり知らないうちに開催地は韓国に決まったのかと思っていました。数週間前に一緒にそれを見ていたLucが “Korea wants it so bad.”（韓国は相当開催地になりたいんだね）と言って初めて「な〜んだ。やっぱりまだ決まってなかったんだ。でも韓国は今回はすごくアグレッシブだね。」と思ったことでした。FIFAによると以下のような情報が書いてありました。

１２月２日（木）にチューリッヒで２０１８年と２０２２年のFIFAワールドカップの開催地が決定されます。候補地のプレゼンと開催地の発表はFIFA.comでご覧になれます。
A host of VIPs and renowned personalities from the worlds of sport and politics will be present in Zurich, supporting their home nations’ bids. The world’s media will also turn out in force, with some 1,000 journalists accredited to cover the event, and nearly 70 TV stations broadcasting live from Zurich.
チューリッヒには世界のスポーツ界や政界からの著名人が来てそれぞれの国をサポートします。１０００のジャーナリストが集まり、ライブで７０のテレビ局が放映します。
The final presentations by the nine candidates begin on Wednesday at the Home of FIFA in Zurich.
