さて昨日は神戸での
英語のユーモラススピーチコンテストの司会の役をたまわりました。
I was the contest chair of the Humorous Speech Contest
in Kobe yesterday.
やらなければならない、守らなければならないプロトコルが多く
結構準備が大変でしたが、先輩諸氏の素晴らしいサポートで
無事役を成し遂げました。
また英語でユーモアを語ることは結構大変なんですが
みなさん頑張ってスピーチを準備し、
私も司会をやりながら多いに笑わせていただきました。
With incessant encouraging supports from the club people,
I managed to do my contest chair role successfully.
I had to spend a lot of time thinking and preparing for the event.
Although I didn’t have a lot of time to rehearse,
I feel it was quite an exciting and joyous job.
Now I have to prepare for my next job as a regional contest chair being held next month.
I am very much looking forward to it!!

さて次は来月の地区大会の司会です。
東海地方から、中国・四国を含む地区大会です。
司会は、時間通りに進行をすることが大事。
なおかつ入れなければいけないアジェンダは
全てもれなく入れなくてはいけません。
でもだからってスクリプト通りにやるのもつまらない。
そこに自分のパーソナリティを入れ、季節や時勢にあった一言を入れ
みんなが楽しく実りのある時間を過ごせるようにすること。
舞台の上の参加者 (contestants) も会場にいる人も
全ての人に忘れられないような会にすること。
やりがいありますね〜。
Well, my next assignment is to be the contest chair
in the regional contest in October.
I will try my best to make it an unforgettable fun event
for everyone♪
