こんにちは！ロバート・ヘイズといいますが、ぜひロブと呼んでください。 イギリス出身で、コーンウォールの「リザード」という小さな村で育ちました。そこはイギリス最南端にある、とても景色のきれいな場所で、新鮮なシーフードやコーニッシュ・パスティー（伝統的なパイ）が有名です。日本に来る前には、ボーンマスやサマセット、エディンバラにも住んでいて、エディンバラのヘリオット・ワット大学では化学を勉強しました。 長崎ではもう10年以上英語を教えていて、子どもから大人まで幅広い年齢の生徒さんに出会ってきました。英検、TOEIC、IELTS などの試験対策も得意です。授業では「楽しく」「わかりやすく」を大切にしていて、文法や単語もできるだけシンプルに説明するよう心がけています。 授業以外では、新しい場所を探検するのが好きです。神社やお寺、山歩き、そして地元の小さなお店やレストランを見つけるのが楽しみです。写真を撮るのも大好きで、腕を磨いているところです。時間があるときは料理をしたり、ジムに行ったり、映画を観たりしています。 これから皆さんにお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。一緒に楽しく英語を学んで、目標を叶えていきましょう！

Hello! My name is Robert Hayes, but please call me Rob. I’m originally from the UK and grew up in a small village called The Lizard in Cornwall—the southernmost point in England and a popular tourist destination known for its stunning coastline, fresh seafood, and traditional Cornish pasties. Before moving to Japan, I also lived in Bournemouth, Somerset, and Edinburgh, where I studied Chemistry at Heriot-Watt University. I have been teaching English in Nagasaki for over ten years, working with students of all ages—from young children to adults in their seventies. I have extensive experience preparing students for exams such as EIKEN, TOEIC, and IELTS. My teaching style is interactive and student-focused, with an emphasis on making lessons enjoyable and explaining grammar and vocabulary in a clear, easy-to-understand way. Outside the classroom, I enjoy exploring new places, whether that’s temples, shrines, mountains, or hidden local shops and restaurants. I also have a passion for photography and am always working on improving my skills. In my free time, I like cooking, going to the gym, and watching movies. I look forward to meeting you in class and helping you achieve your English goals.
